Baroness Child Costume

A child of royal blood.  Could she play as other children or must she be proper?  What was it like for a baroness in olden days? 

You can find out when you wear this royal dress this Halloween.  Her regal dress is made of golden bronze material.

The bodice is chocolate brown with a front panel of bronze with golden yellow twisted ribbon across it.  The neck is trimmed with a golden yellow ruffle and the long bell shaped sleeves have a defining gold ribbon at the elbow.

A golden bronze gathered skirt reaches to the floor.  The attached underskirt has a beautiful jacquard design of bronze, brown, and golden yellow.  It is outlined in gold trim.

The dress comes with an old fashioned hoop built in underneath the skirt.

This exquisite dress comes in child sizes; small, medium, and large.

Add the gold ballet flat shoes to add a regal touch.  A burgundy renaissance pouch can hold all of her jewels.  The quality is excellent in this costume.

Here is a little something about royalty and barons…
A baron in old England was one of the king’s men who had sworn allegiance to him, and served him in military service.  The king awarded him some land, and the title of Baron.  His wife was a Baroness.  They were summoned to the King’s council to advise the king on matters of state. They had a manor in which they lived.

In Scotland the title Baron is a rank of the ancient feudal system.  It is the same as in England that the Baron is awarded land and title by the king.  He owns this title for the rest of his life.  The land that he owns follows his title such as; Baron of Melrose.  A baron is entitled to a coronet that has six silver balls on it. They are equally space around the rim of the crown.
